Impairment suspected in southwest Las Vegas valley crash that left pedestrian hospitalized: police


LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A pedestrian was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after they were hit in a marked crosswalk in the southwest Las Vegas valley, according to Metro police.

On Sunday, around 8:45 p.m., a pedestrian was crossing Robindale Road at Jones Boulevard within a marked crosswalk when a vehicle entered the intersection and hit them, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police suspected the driver of the vehicle was impaired.

Jones Boulevard was closed in both directions at Robindale Road, according to RTC Southern Nevada. Drivers were asked to use alternate routes.
