A new Burlington store is set to open in Washington state in September. The new location is part of a wave of new openings in the state and across the country that’ll get refreshed layouts and storefronts.
Burlington Stores is an off-price retailer, meaning it sells name-brand clothes, home decor and other merchandise at discounted prices. Formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, the company operates more than 1,100 stores in 46 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
Burlington has opened more than 20 new stores in rural and metro areas so far in 2025, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Kristin Kendrick Wolfe previously told USA TODAY. The company expects to open about 100 new locations in its fiscal year ending in January 2026.

Where is the new Burlington store in Washington state?
According to the company’s website, Burlington is opening a new store on Sept. 19 in Puyallup, at 120 31st Avenue SE.
This new location follows other recent store openings in Washington state. A Burlington store opened in Spokane at the Franklin Park Shopping Center on July 18. Another Burlington store opened in Vancouver at Vancouver Plaza on July 25.
So far this year, Burlington has opened new stores in California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin.

New stores, new layouts
New Burlington locations will have updated store layouts that aim to give shoppers a “better and more enjoyable shopping experience, making it easier for consumers to discover deals and savings on their favorite brands,” Wolfe said in a statement, according to USA TODAY.
Burlington stores are also getting refreshed storefronts that feature the company’s new motto, “Deals. Brands. WOW!”
The New Jersey-based company plans to continue its expansion in 2026 and is “on track to grow to 2,000 stores nationwide,” Wolfe said.
How many Burlington stores are in Washington state?
There are 18 Burlington locations in Washington state, according to the company’s store directory.
